Top Tips
Skin
Preparing the skin for make-up is essential. You need to really cleanse, tone and
moisturise first. For me, it's all
about the basics - if your foundation is flawless the rest
of the make-up
will look far more professional. Avoid applying too much
product; this can result in an uneven finish, which looks
and feels heavy.
Eyes I'm often asked "What colour will
suit my eyes?" There's no one answer for this. Many find the
eyes a really difficult area to tackle, but it's about
keeping
things simple. Anyone can wear colour, it's how you apply it
that makes it
flattering to the eye colour and eye shape.
Sometimes just applying coloured liner can
make the
difference.
Blusher/ Bronzer Professionals call this
contouring. Make-up is now an art form. It's amazing how,
just by darkening & highlighting areas, you can change the
shape of the face. Sometimes I use darker or lighter
foundations to create a really structured look; this always
amazes people yet it is such a basic idea. A lot of
women still don't use blusher, yet with so
many shades to suit different skin types it should be
possible to find one that flatters
your skin type.
